Mathew has over 20 years experience in the insolvency and reconstruction sector. This includes experience in Melbourne, Perth and overseas including 12 years with the “big 4 accounting firms”. His industry experience is diverse; from managing the operations of mining companies, aged care facilities, chemical and components suppliers to agricultural machinery, metal fabricators and property management.
He has assisted directors and other stakeholders in successful advisory appointments, from the workout of a listed investment bank with over $1.0 billion in assets to managing favorable outcomes for a major automotive OEM.
Mathew seeks to ensure that directors, their accountants and lawyers negotiate with both secured and unsecured (trade) creditors fully aware of their options and the associated risks. Whilst a formal insolvency appointment may be required, stakeholders should consider all options to preserve asset/entity value.
